Downloading a Report, Extract, or Task File

Because the system saves a physical copy of your recently run report, extract, and task file, you can access the report, extract, and task output files online or download them to your personal computer or network. This option is available only for standard RealPage reports, SDE extracts, and tasks.

The output file for a Leasing & Rents task is an .html file. When viewed online, this file will appear as .html formatted report. However, when downloaded and viewed, the file will appear as an .html text file.

Downloading Individual Reports, Extracts, or Task Files

  1. From the ReportsSDE, or Tasks tab, locate the report, extract, or task you want to work with.
  2. Click the More link, and then select the View completed option.
  3. If there is more than one version of the report, extract, or task available, locate the specific version you want to download. Change the dates and click Find to display more reports, extracts, or tasks. Click the column headings to sort the list by different values.
    • Review the date and format of the report, extract, or task as shown on the list.
    • Use the View link to open the report, extract, or task file.
    • To view the parameters used to run the report or extract, click More and then Parameters. This option is not available for completed tasks.
  4. When you have located the version of the report, extract, or task that you want to download, click More and then Save as. A message appears in the lower portion of the page asking if you want to open or save the file.
  5. Select the option you want to perform:
    • Open: Select this option to open and view the file online.
    • Save: Select this option to save the file to your computer or network. Click the drop-down arrow beside the Save option, and then select the appropriate option:
      • Save: Select this option to save the file in the current folder (the folder where you last saved an item).
      • Save as: Select this option to save the file to a specific location and/or with a custom name. This lets you browse to the location on your computer or network, and then enter a custom name (if needed).
      • Save and open: Select this option to save the file in the current folder, and then open the file.
    • Cancel: Select this option to close the message without opening or saving the file.

      If you chose the Save or Save as option, the system provides these additional options when you save the file:

      • Open: Select this option to open the saved file.
      • Open with: Select this option to open the saved file with a different browser or application. To do this, click the drop-down arrow beside the Open option, select an item from the list, such as Google® Chrome®, Microsoft® Edge®, or Microsoft Word®, and then click OK.
      • Open folder: Select this option to view the folder where you saved the file.
      • View downloads: Select this option to open the View downloads web page where you can view previously downloaded files by folder location
