How do you turn on Unified Login with Knock?

Reach out to your Customer Success Manager or your executive team can request migration to Unified Login for your company by going to www.realpage.com/imready and completing a request form.

 

Does Unified Platform work for institutional customers?

Yes, so long as certain configuration requirements are met. For our institutional customers, it is best to check with the Knock and or Unified team to be sure!

 

How to Login to Unified Platform?

If you use a third-party provider to authenticate your user account, log into that system to access RealPage Unified Platform or use the following steps:

  1. Go to https://www.realpage.com/home.
  2. Type your username. This is typically your primary email address.
  3. To save your username to the login page, click Remember Me.
  4. Click Next. The authentication that displays depends on your account’s configuration.
  5. If prompted, type your password. If you don’t know your password, click Forgot Password and answer your security questions to reset it.
  6. Click Login. The Unified Platform Home page opens.

 

If your company uses multi-factor authentication, follow those steps to authenticate from your phone.

How to edit/update a user?

1. From the Unified Platform Home page, click People (People Icon (person)) > Users

3. Click on the user's name

4. From here you will be able to update the user's account:

  • Profile: This tab will allow you to manage the user's personal information. Name, User Type, If they have active access, etc.

Changing a Regular User to a System Administrator (can only be done by another Administrator):

  • Any missing products that are licensed to your company that are not already accessible to the user will be added.
  • The product Access tab will no longer be visible as System Administrators will have access to all products.

Changing a System Administrator to a Regular User 

  • A blank product access page will be displayed so that you will be able to configure access to only the products the user will need. 
  • All other access not indicated on the product access page will be removed.

Changing a Regular User (no email) to a Regular User:

  • The User form will show the Regular User layout
  • You will need to update the Username field with a valid email address
  • Products with the ability to accept edits for an email address will update to use the new email address.

Changing a Regular User to a Regular User (no email):

  • A regular user cannot be changed to a Regular User (no email)
  • Properties: This tab will allow you to manage what properties the user has access to.
  • Product Access: This tab will allow you to manage what products and the specific permissions for those products for this user.
  • Security: This tab will allow you to update the user's password.
  • Activity: This tab will allow you to see what the user account has been doing, when they logged in, accessed a product, updated their account when products were assigned, updated, removed, etc.

5. Once you have made any needed updates to the user account, click Update User to save. 

 

Unable to Log in receive a  spinning circle

This is usually the result of stored information on your computer related to the time not being synced properly. If your computer time is out of balance by even a second the token can get rejected.

 

Set your date and time to sync automatically:

1. From your start menu, open your computer's Settings
2. Go to Time & Language > Date & time
4. Under Synchronize your clock, click Sync now

 

After any changes made above, clear the cache and cookies for your browser.

 

How to create or remove a user?

If you do not have access to the Users area within the Unified Platform, you will need to speak with someone in your company who has access. 

 

How to reset your password?

If you are attempting to reset the password for a user, you will need to have the rights to work with user accounts in the Unified Platform. By default, this is assigned to Administrators. If you do not have these rights, you will need to reach out to your System Administrator.

1. Go to https://www.realpage.com/home
2. Log into Unified Platform
3. In the upper right corner, click on your name

If you are unable to change your Password or if the security tab is missing, please reach out to your Unified platform System administrator to have your password reset.

 

Note* Your password could be through your Single Sign-on provider such as Microsoft, Google, Okta, etc.  IF you are using a third-party identity provider, follow the steps in that application to change your password or contact your company’s System administrator.

 

 

How to update the phone number in Unified Platform? 

To update your phone number you can go to People>Users>Profile>Personal Info

What to do when your user account is locked?

To unlock user accounts, you will need to reach out to a user in your company with the rights to manage users in Unified Platform or your System Administrator. Only System Administrators can manage other System Administrator accounts.

 

How do I manage leasing team user management if I am on UP but my leasing teams are not?

Admins cannot manage users within their own leasing teams, this must be done from the Master role for all Unified Platform integrated leasing teams.

 

How to access the Knock CRM in the Unified Platform? 

You are able to access the CRM in Unified by clicking the Knock Tile when you log in.

What are the roles of Unified Login Users?

  • Master:
    • Can manage all users in all properties under a company
    • Can access and assign users to all leasing teams
    • Has access to Admin Portal, CRM (LMA), and Analytics
    • Has access to all properties
  • Admin:
    • Can access their own leasing teams only
    • Can manage users within their own leasing teams only within the Admin Portal, as long as they have not been migrated to the Unified Platform
    • Has access to Admin Portal and Analytics(*Note the admin tile directs all users to admin.knockcrm.com)
    • Has access to their own leasing teams' properties only
    • Cannot manage users within their own leasing teams, this must be done from the Master role for all Unified Platform integrated leasing teams.
  • Manager:
    • Are leasing team members 
    • Can access CRM (LMA)
    • Can have access to Analytics if granted access via company settings

What are the Knock roles for Unified Login Users?

Master

  • Has access to the Admin Portal and all properties.  Unified Platform System Administrators are assigned this role.

Admin

  • Has access to Admin Portal, Analytics, and a subset of all properties.
  • Note: the Admin is able to see users on their leasing team, but users' roles and properties will not be managed in Knock.  The System Administrator will perform user management from the Unified Platform.

Manager

  • Has Access to the Knock CRM core application.
